About Yangang Tourism Development Committee

The Yangang Tourism Development Committee(YTDC) was established in the year 2008 to oversee and promote tourism development of Yangang, located in south district of Sikkim. The committee’s primary objective was to enhance tourism potential of Yangang by improving infrastructure, preserving local culture, and creating sustainable tourism initiatives. By focusing on both the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Yangang, the committee aimed to attract domestic and international tourists while ensuring that local communities benefited economically. It worked in collaboration with various government and non-government entities to develop tourist-friendly amenities, such as trekking routes, mountain biking trail, homestays, and eco-tourism projects, contributing to the broader development of Sikkim as a tourist destination.

Aims and Objectives of Yangang Tourism Development Committee (YTDC):

  1. Promote Sustainable Tourism: Ensure that tourism development in Yangang is environmentally sustainable and beneficial to the local community, preserving the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the region.
